What Are We Looking to Add to Our Team?
As a Director of AI Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Supio’s AI Operations Team. You will be responsible for managing a talented local team of technical employees based in the US as well as overseeing a team of highly skilled contractors located overseas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operations management within a tech-driven environment, possess exceptional leadership skills, will be adept at navigating the complexities of managing both local and international teams while building processes of continual improvement that allow the team to scale, develop and thrive.
To thrive in this role, you will need a flexible skill set, enjoy rolling up your sleeves to get work done alongside the team when needed, have a commitment to meeting customer expectations and be willing to do what it takes to do so, enjoy diving into details as well as focusing on delivering KPIs and project milestones while scaling the team and processes to achieve Supio’s vison.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s vision and goals. Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies and collaborate cross functionally to drive improvements and achieve goals.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a talented local team of US-based technical employees while overseeing and coordinating with international contractors. Foster an inclusive, collaborative and high-performance work environment for both local and remote teams. Jump in, when needed, to support the team with project completion, serving in a coach-player role, when caseloads are high, or business demands more hands-on deck.

Project Oversight: Oversee the execution of key projects involving both US employees and overseas contractors, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and optimize the Supio technology for greater efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Operational Excellence: Implement and maintain robust operational processes and best practices. Develop, monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement. Provide regular reporting on KPIs, initiatives and project completion.

Resource Allocation: Manage resource planning and allocation for both local and international teams, ensuring the right talent and tools are available to meet project and operational needs. Optimize resource utilization across teams and coordinate with other functional groups on prioritization and goal/project alignment.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders, such as Tech, CX, and Sales. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between local employees and international contractors across different time zones and cultural contexts and across all functional teams. Due to time zone differences, calls or meetings outside of US business hours are common.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to both local and international operations and develop mitigation strategies to address operational challenges. Partner with Legal and HR to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Budget Management: Develop and oversee operational budgets, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently and effectively.

Technology Integration: Collaborate with the tech and product development teams to ensure smooth integration of new technologies and tools into operational workflows.
Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within a technology or AI-focused environment.

Proven track record of engaging talent, developing talent and building high performing teams.

Ability to track detailed information about caseloads in multiple formats (excel, airtable, etc.) and deliver accurate reporting and caseload tracking

Strong leadership and team management capabilities for both local and remote teams with an ability to adapt to the cultural nuances of working with overseas contractors.

Excellent organizational, project management and problem-solving skills and strategic planning.

Proficiency in operational software and tools such as HubSpot, Airtable, Zapier, and Jira, with an understanding of AI and legal tech trends.

Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across different cultures and time zones.

Strong reporting and analytical skills to create, measure, and scale program metrics.

Ability to influence using data and insights and present and communicate data to various audiences.

Ability to navigate ambiguity and changing conditions that require rapid iteration and ability.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Computer Science, or a related field, or other equivalent experience.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position in the selected region is $135,000 – 185,000 annually. This role will also be eligible for stock options. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
